Trip highlight

Day 1 : Arrival to Kualanamu Intl Airport, Medan – transfer to Bukit Lawang

  • A day before the trip starts, the guide will come and pick you up at the airport and travel straight to Bukit Lawang village 4 hour's drive to be expected

  • Arrival in Bukit Lawang, check in to our ecolodge

  • Dinner and Overnight in Bukit Lawang

Day 2 Bukit Lawang Orangutan jungle trekking

  • After breakfast at the Guest House, we will start our journey trekking to Leuser National Park, crossing the deep jungle to explore Orang Utans, Thomas Leaf monkeys, Black Gibbons, Masques, lizards, Siamang, birds (Hornbil)

  • There will be a maximum of 3 hours of trekking before lunch. 

  • Lunch will be provided in the jungle, ( we will have a brief stop and make a hut on the trek ) 

  • After lunch, we will continue trekking for another 1-2 hours. 

  • Before Sunset we will build a hut ( overnight at camp) next to a river while you can take a refreshing bath in the river.

  • Overnight in the jungle 

Day 3 Rainforest Trekking, back to Bukit Lawang

  • After breakfast, we will continue trekking to see and observe more animals, flora and fauna

  • Visiting waterfall in the jungle while you can take a refreshing shower

  • Lunch will be provided in the jungle

  • Back to our eco-lodge with tubing, arrive at our ecolodge check-in, and Dinner and evening

Day 4: Departure from Bukit Lawang to Berastagi

  • After breakfast, depart for Berastagi.

  • On the way, stop at Dokan, a traditional village of the Batak Karo people, to discover their unique way of life and architecture. Arrive in Berastagi in the afternoon and explore the town, including its local markets and surrounding volcanic landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay in Berastagi

Day 5: Sunrise Trek to Mount Sibayak – Fruit Market Visit – Transfer to Lake Toba

  • 03:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Berastagi.

  • 04:00 AM: Arrive at the starting point for the Mount Sibayak hike, followed by a safety briefing and equipment check.

  • 04:15 AM: Begin the guided trek under a starry sky.

  • 05:30 AM: Reach the summit to witness a spectacular sunrise and explore the unique volcanic features.

  • 07:30 AM: Descend the volcano.

  • 08:00 AM: Visit the traditional fruit market in Berastagi to taste local tropical fruits and regional specialties.

  • 09:00 AM: Return to your hotel for a short break and freshen up.

  • 10:30 AM: Depart for Lake Toba, enjoying picturesque scenery along the way.

  • 12:30 PM: Stop for lunch at a local restaurant.

  • 03:00 PM: Arrive at Parapat and board the ferry to Samosir Island.

  • 04:45 PM: Check into your accommodation and relax by the lakeshore.

  • Overnight stay at Tabo Cottage, on the shores of Lake Toba.

Days 6–7: Explore Samosir, Lake Toba, and Batak Culture

  • Visit traditional Batak villages to discover their rich cultural heritage and daily life.

  • Explore the Batak Museum to learn more about the history and traditions of the Batak people.

  • Meet the locals in traditional villages and immerse yourself in their way of life.

  • Visit the traditional markets to see local crafts and taste regional produce.

  • Discover the Batak culture through demonstrations, historical storytelling, and sampling traditional cuisine. Night in Samosir island

Day 8: Departure from Lake Toba to Medan Airport

  • After breakfast, depart for Medan around midday.

  • Enjoy the final scenic views of the Lake Toba region en route to the city.

  • Arrive in Medan and transfer to the hotel or airport for your next destination flight.

  • End of the tour.
