What is the trip about
Stay with the locals, enjoy the Minangkabau people hospitality with her people, with the Minangkabau homestay program we provide the tourist life experience in "kampung" or traditional Minang village. The activities the tourist engages in are all authentically Minangkabau culture, such as including preparation of food using traditional methods, plowing paddy rice fields using the buffalo, planting in a rice field with the local community, and also join cultural dances, musical performances. We created our special program for a traveler who wants to travel an unusual way, engages with the local community and being far away from mass tourism, by our program we provide an authentic experience living with the local community ( Minangkabau ) that allows the tourist touches the culture through local life experience.

Trip Summary
Day 1 -2: Depart from Padang city and stay in Maninjau traditional village with inhabitant and local activities
These great experience will start from Padang city transfer to Maninjau village, on the way to Maninjau we will have a brief stop to enjoy the rainforest views and visiting the home industry of Cinnamon, in regards Sumatra one of the biggest Cinnamon productions in the world.
During our stay in Maninjau traditional village we will get fully immersed with the local environment by joining activities with the local community in a rice field, plantation, all the activity that we will do is related to their natural environment, for example, planting rice in a rice field, harvesting, activity in plantation (spices), and also we will have a chance learning to make one of the top 50 dishes in the world * the famous traditional Minangkabau dish (Rendang cooking class) *according to CNN in a local way.
Our host family will open talk and introduce how life in the biggest Matrilineal society in the world, we will overnight at typical Minangkabau traditional house ( Rumah Gadang ) according to Minang tradition (matrilineal system) for sleeping arrangements only woman have room, and while for man which is normally sleep in out space in the room.
Day 3 - 4 Stay Harau village and local activities with inhabitant
Farewell with our host in Maninjau village and transfer to Harau valley to meet another friendly Minang’s family, on the way to go we will have some brief stop to see sugar cane processing in Lawang village.
Arrival in Harau valley village meet your host family, free program, and enjoy the moment, at noon participate with our host family in the rice field how to catching and fishing eels with the traditional method that usually they do every day.
Our stay in Harau valley will also be combining with some adventure activity by exploring Harau jungle, caves to observe wildlife Sumatra’s gibbons, these experience will allow you to learn Minangkabau’s traditional instrument.
Day 5 : Harau valley – Minangkabau king’s palace and back to Padang
Leaving Harau village and farewell with our host family, heading off to visit Minangkabau king’s palace, at the Minangkabau king’s palace you will get a better understanding of Minang culture, the architecture of the traditional house, carving pattern, and etc. Arrival in Padang city transfer to our hotel, the diner will provided at local Minang restaurant.
